During the visit of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Sergeli district on may 29, 2020, the initiative of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan to change the borders of Zangiota, Quyichirchik, Yangiyol and Middachirchik districts of Tashkent region, Sergeli and Bektemir districts of Tashkent City, as well as the creation of Yangihayot district within Tashkent City was put forward by the head of state. The area of Yangihayot district is 4,419.6 hectares. On the territory of the Yangihayot district there are 22 preschool institutions, 17 secondary schools, 2 vocational colleges, 7 medical institutions and 2 cultural center facilities of 30 neighborhood Citizens Assembly.
